This is the home of Polish Aq Designs, the architects concerned more with creating unique spaces but most importantly with functionality and comfort. The apartment is located in Madrid, Spain and has a total surface of 95 square meters. In addition to the service functions and the areas where the designers subtracted personal storage spaces, there’s also a music room with built-in storage modules and a guest bedroom that can be accessed via a ladder. You can also see some of the recycled elements found in the kitchen.
A large island is the centerpiece of the room which includes a multipurpose bar seating unit and a dining table. There’s also a beautiful feature that complements all the other pieces of the space, the skylights that frame the kitchen. As for the rest of the décor, the exposed bricks near the window are a cute touch and they actually give the room a particularly warm and cozy feel.
Although the space is minimalist and has no storage for books, a media cabinet, a set of Bookcases and wooden seats can easily replace as additional storage compartments. The style used for the rest of the décor is eclectic. There are some interesting and eye-catching elements specific to a Scandinavian space but the main elements are the black and white combo which is beautifully combined with pattern, texture, color and warmth.
