Arturo Alvarez Architects designed the new residential building in Piura, Spain which is also the former studio space of the City Hall Office Building. The building was constructed in the 1990s and is now a residential building. The ceiling of the building is made out of stacked blocks of stone stones. The old roof structure was restored and another one was restored with a modern design. The predominant façade of the building is made out of brick and wood. The windows, however, are modern and the predominant use of aluminum and steel.
The building has three levels. The carpenters have low sloped roofs and this give it a unique, minimalist and at the same time it creates warm, inviting and elegant spaces. The modern patio, with a glass upper level, seems to be part of the house. The deck, with glass railings, is the main area of the house. The dining area is very modern and spacious. The picture of modern in a pure building like this one is taken by Ingo Maurer and he designed furniture and lighting.
Every room has something completely different from the other. Some rooms are more classical, others are more contemporary and some still other are just basic. The kitchen is perfect for a family of inventive types. The bedrooms have contemporary furniture and lighting and the most interesting thing in there is the long dining area with a chandelier above that. The family room is another one of the areas where the modern and the traditional become the important elements of the design.
The beautiful fireplace set in the dining room is one of the major elements of the house. The delightful chocolate brown wood, a fur area rug and the beautiful pendant lamps above the table are just some of the elements that ensure the beauty of this corner. The wonderful terrace of the house is an oasis of beauty. It is the perfect location for those who love to relax and enjoy the warmth of the fireplace, the sitting area and the garden.
