Build A Barn House In The Forest, Offering Beautiful Views And Sensations

In order to be able to fully enjoy and appreciate the location and the views, there had to be a strategy to build a house in the forest area, in a clearing in the forest of Valle de Bravo, in Mexico.The House was build in the summer of 2016 and stands as a rental. It is located in a residential area of Sierra Madres in Mérida. It covers a total area of 80 square meters.

Since the barns were not designed to serve as actual living areas anymore, they needed a spacious and comfortable space. The clients was Domingo grandchildren was willing to put them there and they collaborated with the Architects mcia mocano in the project. They all got the opportunity to be close to nature and to live in harmony with nature. When designing the house, the firm used some elements that characterize traditional barns. They include elements such as stone walls and arches, wooden walls and earth-toned roofs.

The barn house features 3 bedrooms, a study, an office and an open kitchen and a living room with a fireplace. It also includes a large covered porch. A glass balustrade on the west side of the house allows natural light to fill the interior spaces. To allow beautiful views of the forest and lake, the team used large windows on the south side, as well as sliding doors that create a small courtyard. The interior is bright, warm and decorated with limestone and wood.{found on archdaily}.
